THINK YOU KNOW YOUR COLORWARS ?

Who can forget those 5 special days in August where we competed and sung, cried and bled nothing but Maroon and Grey ?

Ah, but who can remember the team names, winners and Generals of the "event of the Summer" ? Let's see how many we can retrieve from the recesses of our collective memory.
Here are some team names to start you off.

Circus... City Slickers... Horror Films... Country Hicks... Wild Wild West... Western Heroes... 1001 Arabian Nights... Spanish Conquistadors... Robin Hood and His Merry Men

(list the year and team name; the winner and General if you know them)

I already wrote about the color wars that I was involved in, but I will repeat for this "event"

The Maroon team of 1962 was called The New Yorkers (generals were myself and Bonnie Horn). The 1963 team was The Planet Nooram. (Maroon spelled backwards(generals were myself and my lieutenant was Steve Dick) In 1964, it was Robin Hood & his Merry Men (general was myself-I cannot remember the others). In 1965 - Maroon Team Circus (generals were myself and Mark Jonas.

I was on Massada, we had a great sing that year: a band of men in a city wall besieged by their Roman foe, so many months without a chance to escape saved only by their faith in God, I think those were part of the lyrics to the March. My memory for the tune and the rest of the lyrics fail me. I think Massada was Grey in 1970.

I just thought of the refrain;
their aim was to stay alive though faith and loyalty, massada's message to the present day is death instead of slavery.
